Not sure if this is what you are looking for. I am using Perl/Tk for a photo program. I was not satisfied with Tk. I switched to keeping the main program in Perl, but setting up a web server and connecting to Flash Player on Localhost. Works great for me anyways. Flash makes a great GUI for Perl this way IMO.

Tk is ok, but I'd rather use a graphically based program to generate graphics, and Flash certainly has more capabilities than Tk in many ways.
