This is a guess, not a fact. Seems like on SuSe, all that stuff was in RPM files. Doesn't Red Hat do similar? When I used the Package Manager to install RPM files, all the DB stuff just worked. When you downloaded it off the net it needed tweaking and maybe it worked. On stuff like that, I always look for an RPM to install, then goto the net if it isn't there. ?????
