my current life
I've founded a small company called Intellique with a pair of friends. We try to keep having as much fun as possible, working on interesting, challenging, possibly enriching things like Linux, Unix, Perl and Free Software in general.
I have a great wife and two children, and when I've got some time to spare I play or compose mostly jazzy music.
my past life
My first contact with computer programming was BASIC, back at the time when "using a computer" was roughly equivalent to "programming", around 1981.
I practiced programming exclusively as a hobby for 17 years. I learnt and wrote BASIC, TurboPASCAL, Z80 assembly, 8086 assembly...
In the meanwhile I worked as a pianist, then as a sound engineer, then as a video techie, and that's when I discovered Unix and perl.
