True. Vi stands for "Visual Interface" :-) The Introduction section of the Emacs Manual, which begins by listing the Attributes of the Anointed (or The Holy Buzzwords) reads: You are reading about GNU Emacs, the GNU incarnation of the advanced, self-documenting, customizable, extensible real-time display editor Emacs. (The `G' in `GNU' is not silent.) Everything about the computer experience is visual, unless you're at a Braille terminal or on some sort of voice-driven interface. Troll? Second guess or flame - either way you fall for the bait.
