I have stopped looking at these mags. All you see these days are headlines such as 'Better Scripting With Python' and articles that say how great the world would be if everyone just dumped Perl for 'x' - whatever 'x' may be. I always love it when I read an article which mentions the old days of Perl CGI, totally dismissing Perl as an archaic tool. The enormous ignorance of these authors makes me sick. Merlyn's articles are too short and infrequent. It would be nice to see an article on PAR or some of the more exciting things in the Perl world. Just a few months ago there were 2 articles on Perl 6 & parrot. Now that was a great issue, but it already feels like 5 years ago. I wonder what the magazine editors views on Perl are. You know things are going seriously wrong when you pick up a mag and see some poor chap's Java program for webpage and image grabbing. . .
