Maybe you can interview the folks at Ticketmaster? While they are reviled by some for allegedly employing tactics such as scalping, venue exclusivity deals etc. to drive ticket prices up and venues out, they are a Perl shop and seem to be largely successful.

<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
