( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

This is a hard one.

Should I name web-sites like Gmail, WhatsApp for the web, and Twitter fav website or just a web-representation of an application that I (also) run on phone or tablet?

If I should include them, "Social media" would be top, as I can then use my keyboard and big screen to reply and share content.

Other than that, I use cron to generate local html that reflects things I hate to do on the official pages, like gathering release notes for my fav OSS or SW that I require for work. I HATE advertisements and not-used information on most websites, I also hate some of the fonts forced on me or the layout that was clearly aimed at people with preferences that do not resemble mine even remotely. If I use WWW::Mechanize and friends to just fetch the information I want to review on a daily basis, and generate static content that I can view in font/style/layout that I prefer, it makes my life on the web bearable.

PM to me requires a seperate client for the chat. They go hand in hand. (Thank you choroba for making a workable version.)

So I chose "Other tech".

Enjoy, Have FUN! H.Merijn

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
