well, I just tried Plack::Middleware::InteractiveDebugger, what it is, is it provides a stacktrace, stackframe .... like an enhanced version of Plack::Middleware::StackTrace

it also allows you to run arbitrary perl code

you're supposed to be able to view vars at each stackframe , but that doesn't work -- and that is only other functionality that is anything like

Not surprising, those things are hard to reinvent, require a lot of work ... Miyagawa can't do everything, someone has to pick up the slack, speaking of which, another abandoned proof of concept is Plack::Middleware::Scrutiny ... had more potential (its based on Devel::ebug)

Then see Plack::Debugger / LPW2014 Stevan Little ‎stevan‎ ‎Plack::Debugger A new debugger for Plack Applications‎ - YouTube

Debuggers are a lot of work, a lot of them get started ...

I always found using debuggers more work than actual work

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong>   <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
