( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

Hello perldigious,

Looking through the nodes in The Monastery Gates, it appears that “replies” is being used in the narrow sense of direct (immediate) replies to the OP, so that replies to those replies, etc., are not counted. For example, in the thread regex issue, there are direct replies to the OP by Anonymous Monk, AnomalousMonk, and Laurent_R, and these are the “3 replies” identified in The Monastery Gates.

I would guess that the point of listing a reply count here is primarily to draw attention to posts with no replies. In any case, I don’t think it’s a bug.

Hope that helps,

Athanasius <°(((><contra mundum Iustus alius egestas vitae, eros Piratica,

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
