Nice. This gets me the following chart, but I'm not sure I understand what it means.
Rate Evl Rcs Itr
Evl 115745/s -- -84% -93%
Rcs 729138/s 530% -- -55%
Itr 1612898/s 1293% 121% --
I think that means the Itr version is an order of magnitude (16x) better than the Rcs version, right? And that the Rcs version is 7 times better than the Evl version. If so, then the answer is clear.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
