My first attempts was similar (but I used Uperase letters too):
$_='074117115116032097110111116104101114032080101114'.
'108032072097099107101114010'=>pos()=0;print map chr,
substr $_=>pos()=>3 and pos()+=3 while pos()<length;
###
print map{chr}split /\\/,q
/074\117\115\116\032\097\110\111\116\104\101\114\032
\080\101\114\108\032\072\097\099\107\101\114\013\010/;

Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
