( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
My first name is Jörgen. That nick is usually already taken by a Swede or German and if not, it doesn't work because of the dots over the "o". But you're clear of the German Jürgens and Jörgs anyway, not to mention the Hungarian Györgys.

So then you can go for "jorgen" which is usually taken too, because then you get to compete with those annoying "Jørgen" from Norway and Denmark as well. So then go for transcription of "Jörgen" to English which gives "joergen", which is usually taken too. for the same reasons. But "jergen" in English would probably be a better pronounciation, but alas, that is a name taken by the Russian Jergens. Last ditch attempt, reverse the o and the e in joergen and you get jeorgen, which is almost never taken, yeeeh!

However a search on Google shows there are Brazilians by that name...

/jeorgen

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
