Well, if you can't do queries in O(1) time, you can't do
deletes in O(1) time (because to delete something, you first
need to find it), and you can only do inserts in O(1) if
you accept duplicates - which Perl hashes don't.

tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
