Howdy, I'm just starting to learn Perl. A while ago I wondered if something like that could be done with the stock market. "more_money" = WIN.
however there is a smaller version of chess that could be played w/o too much modification(I think?). It consists of a 3x3 board of 3 pawns on either side. Winning is when you get your pawn to the other side OR when it is your opponents turn and he cannot move. Normal pawn movement other than that.
Code on!!

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
