I'm sure you want to know why most of this community doesn't share your humor regarding this post. Several of us, in some capacity, have administrated in 24x7 environments and are too familiar with the piercing shriek of a pager during late/early hours. We know how it obliterates any concept of free-time, and how it interrupts and contributes stress to our lives; and our families as well. None of us take it lightly, and tend not to wish it on anyone else.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
