( #3333=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
Thanks for the help guys...I've learned a ton with this project. The most important thing: Don't reinvent the wheel. I went witht the module and my format is very pretty and I'll be able to hand the info. over in time. I had one of the strong perl guys here at work patch the module for me so it gives the expiration date for the domain. He sent it off to the person who maintains that module, so that patch may be included in a later version.
I felt like I was so close and wanted to finish it without the module's help. Didn't get me too far...Thanks again, and I've learned a few things from your feedback.
BTW -- can anyone recommend a general programming logic book? I sure could use one.

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
