pass this subroutine the path (can be a UNC path!) and it will return the amount of disk space that the folder (and its subfolders) use in bytes.
I was previously using a couple of subs in a very confusing loop, but this is neater, and faster I hope.
use File::Recurse;
sub GetFolderSize {
my $Path = shift;
my $size = 0;
recurse { $size += -s } $Path;
return $size;
}

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
