( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
I started getting wrist and elbow pain about 2 months into my current project, in spite of using a palm rest. I quickly came to the conclusion that it was because I was accustomed to laptop style keyboards with short travel, soft action etc. I tried an ultra flat keyboard and a track ball, and that made things a little better.

Then I found this.

It's identical to the keyboard/pointing device combo I'm used to, but is a usb device for a desktop. Since I changed over my wrist pain has stopped entirely.

IMHO, if you're going to be spending long periods of time typing and mousing, it's worth finding the exact input device combination that suits you, and sticking with it.

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
