Downtime? What downtime???
It's not my personal computer, which is shut off whenever I'm not using it, but the Sun box that runs the NMS core of my employer's network. (A large private telco) We don't believe in down-time :)
Sadly, that low load average is because this noble beast's task has just been moved to some brand-new upgrades. It will be decommissioned in the coming weeks.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
