I agree with this. There are any number of free blogging services that could be used to share ideas (without getting "thumbed down etc"), if that were the real intent.
However the comment made to Corion in Reaped: Re^2: Feature Request i.e.
2 world wars... and one world cup... lalalalala
demonstrates that this is about attention seeking, not sharing of ideas. I'm reminded of the Joker character from The Dark Knight
