It's not to much.

Look at gcc and glibc, those take as much time to test then to build them.

Or perl itself for that matter. On my machine it takes only a few minutes to build the Perl interpreter, but at least 20 minutes to run the tests. -- Mike -- `XML::Simpler does not require XML::Parser or a SAX parser. It does require File::Slurp. -- grantm, perldoc XML::Simpler`	[reply]

It once took me two days to run configure for Perl, 10 minutes to compile, and another day for the tests. :-) ------ We are the carpenters and bricklayers of the Information Age.
