Haven't read all the code but i've used this statement when i've been using OLE
$Active::Document->{Saved} = 1;
$Active::Document->Close;
Although to be honest,
You're better to use the save as like Kenny did.
Here's some more on SaveAs() method if anyone needs an example:

};
# Save as normal MS Word document
$Active::Document->SaveAs(
