I met a Perlmonk in Real Life™! theorbtwo is a genuine walking, talking human being (or a damn good robot) and he doesn't look a bit like that big shiny globe on his homenode.
Brownies
NB: The original recipe I have for this is mostly in cups. I've tried to convert it to oz and g as well, but I'm not sure how accurate this actually is. It's cooking though so it should be near enough ;)
{4oz} (100g) unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup {6oz} (150g) butter or margarine
1.5 cups {12oz} (300g) sugar
3 eggs
1 cup {4oz} (100g) self-raising flour
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Heat oven to 350oF/170oC/Gas Mark 4.
Microwave chocolate & butter on high for 2 minutes or until butter is melted.
Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
Stir sugar into chocolate until well blended.
Mix in eggs.
Stir in flour and nuts until well blended.
Spread in greased 13 x 9 inch (30 x 20 cm) baking tin.
Bake 30-35 minutes on middle shelf or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out covered in fudgy crumbs.
Cut into squares.
