Re: Casting One's Vote in the Boothe of Voting (twice)

The "Best part of Thanksgiving" is a typical American thing... and we all know how hard times the Americans
have with voting theese days.
All votes will be counted by hand a couple of times, and
after a some rounds in the court, we'll have the
official numbers of the "Best part of Thanksgiving" poll. So please be patient. :)
Do I need to say that I put my vote on "The fact that I'm not an American and don't celebrate that bloody holiday".

It appears to be IP based. I voted several days ago, tried again just now and at the top of the graph is the message:
You have already voted from that IP (216.254.53.52)
You'll notice that Anonymous Monk is capable of voting, which means it can't be purely login based.

Which I had just logged out to prove, and thus demonstrating early monring incompetence, forgot to log back in to post.

I believe you can (Voting Booth poll) vote as many times as you like, but only your first vote counts toward the results.
Update:
Well, mischief - I sit corrected. A while back I noticed almost the same thing, except I could vote several times from the same IP and only the first counted. Either vroom tweaked the Voting Booth a bit, or I'm delusional. I hope those two are mutually exclusive {grin}

I don't think so - before I voted there was 243 votes, and straight after voting there was 244. Unless someone else voted at the same time as me (which I guess is entirely possible,) both my votes from home and work were counted. If I try and vote again from here it tells me that I have already voted from this IP - does this imply that it's OK to vote again from another IP? I think Mr Gore would have something to say about this.

This mornings votes might have been yesterdays votes.
When I'm in the office early, I don't have any votes, because I usually spend all my votes during the day. After an hour or so the significant date changes and I get new votes.
Or were you able to vote on the very same nodes again?

I think he means the Voting Booth (eg "Best part of Thanksgiving"), not the XP-based voting on nodes.
Nick.
