Perhaps your future job was for one of those big companies that steal others programs to improve theirs. If they asked me to show some propietary script, I might also, choose some from the best programmers in the OS sources and say it was mine! So, asking that, might only be a way of knowing if they could trust me to fit in their way of working. Just that!
