traslated in the story format
This is the part that seems to be lost in the translation.

It was the baddest jungle of code I'd ever seen. An impenetrable tangle of goto statements, shifting before my very eyes, global variables buzzing all over the place, huge mysteriously named subs slithering underfoot. It was the proverbial dirty legacy cleanup job that needed doing. I was expected to deliver the goods to my team by dawn. It was right around 3 in the morning when perl started seg faulting...

    Perlp Fiction perhaps . . .

VINCENT: You know what the funniest thing about Ruby is?
    JULES: What?
VINCENT: It's the little differences. A lotta the same crap we got here, they got there, but they're a little different.
    JULES: Example?
VINCENT: Well, in Ruby, you can pass a block of code to any method call. And I don't mean with an anonymous sub ref either. They let you pass a whole block like in Smalltalk.

Princess Leia: Aren't you a little short to be just another perl hacker?

Oh brother. Stop me before I quote again.... ;)
