By popular vote: Welcome to the Dark Side

Now there I was trying to be practical and suggest a 'refuge' for the infamous Need for a Dark Temple (Perl Warlocks)?.

But no! Voting suggests that everyone is content to keep evil within these walls.

This begs the question of what to call members with varying levels of negative XP. Those sliding down towards the Pit might perhaps begin their career from -1 as a ghost, descending through evil monk at -200, on their way to...my imagination shuts down at this point....

Update: Having seen movement in this node's reputation, it appears that the current near-zero is due to an equal number of positive and negative votes. Makes me wonder - is this a fine balance between good and evil? Is it presumed that my actions should be influenced by the vote to this node? if so what actions...? Sorry guys - I'm only a programmer!

More Update: How about:-

-1 Manager

-200 Senior Manager

-??? Politician ;)

...

One world, one people

      I also chromatic's suggestion.

Good find++. The last two Circles of chromatic's Hell, are:

      1. Probably should be using Python, Java, or C++.
      2. Probably should be using VB.

It makes me wonder what traits a poster would need to exhibit to earn entry into either level.

Yeah, those two levels seemed strange to me. What could someone do or say that they "should be using" these other languages?

To have any naming below 'initiate' is to invite a competitive race to the bottom. Is that something we want to encourage?

Certainly a dante-ing task. Probably would have to have "Python User" and "COBOL Crafter" as stops, with either "PHB" or "Marketing" as the ending destination. :)

    But there's only one antivroom.
Antivroom made two relatively harmless posts and yet so much negative XP? Hmmph! One would expect evidence of at least a few human sacrifices, party political speeches, Microsoft marketing activity or perhaps time spent in a corporate law department to qualify for that.

      One world, one people

vroom and antivroom are two sides of the same coin and their xp are both artificial.
