which mac OS is your friend using? OS 9? what you want to do depends a fair amount on the answer to that.

    Cat,

I use OS 9. Actually i managed to undetstand the creation of CGI/ACGI files. Now I have the following problem: My scripts completely do not see the CGI-params of either get or post kind. As a matter of fact, no environment variables like: $ENV{"CONTENT_LENGTH"}, etc... are defined. My code is simple and used by me on UNIX based perl 100 times. Maybe I am supposed to install something else?? All i did was install Mac_Perl_520r4_appl.

    p.s: that's a cute dog u got...looks a bit like mine...except i have a german shephard with big teeth. :)-

hmmmm. well, i'll install macperl on my powerbook tonight & see, but in the meantime, you should post the code from your script here & check out these better options for developing perl on macs: (personally, i prefer the linuxppc route, but they all work)
