I'd like to see a book about catalyst, comparable to the "Agile Web Development with Rails", and a 'SICP using Perl' would be quite cool (but would sell bad I suspect).

    Catalyst isn't mature enough to warrant a book like that. Give it 6 months to a year.

    My criteria for good software:
    1. Does it work?
    2. Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?

      Though I completely agree, the right time to start writing the book was probably six months ago.
