Here's a favorite of mine that doesn't get a lot of press:
Zen of Code Optimization by Michael Abrash. Code optimization is my favorite part of my job and that's a book that gives you the tools to do it right. And as a bonus, it's full of crazy 80x86 assembler! -sam
