Check microsoft and microsoft support sites to find out more about the format, and if they have utilities which can answer these questions for you... search intesively
csproj utility => A Utility to Convert VS.NET 2003 Project Files Since these look like XML files, various XML:: will come in handy, but you really need to know as much as possible about the format. You probably already figured this is what you'd have to do.
