Warning: Humor approaching

Hmm, non-profit. Hmm, PM as a charitable organization. We donate, and it comes off our taxes. Hmmm.

User base demographics check:

32% - Well compensated highly technical people
41% - Students in highly technical fields
14% - English students
06% - Brillent young students who do not work up to potential
07% - Other

Sure, sounds like a perfect place to go non-profit. Look at all other earners & future earners.

Now the next step is the PerlMonks mutual fund, which uses 100% computer guided transactions on the stock market. We'll see things in the chatterbox like:

jcwren: You can now search the stats page by how many millions the monks made in the fund.
DiscoStu: Look at the new Make::Money::Fast module that I wrote all by myself, really!
Ovid: Hey I just finished the new forecasting.pm module.
AgentM: Can I get Bone::Easy on a ticker-tape at the bottom of the screen?

{grin}

All that aside, it would be cool to be able to contribute tax-deductable to PerlMonks. Paypal or other way to make "micro-payments" sounds like the way to go. Just don't do anything that links it to XP. {grin}

    I see it now: Donate all your wordly possesions to vroom and set your Perl free!
    And then of course, we'll get even more posts like Parallels Between Perlmonks.ORG and Religious Cults.

    On the serious side, I'd go for it. Anything to reduce spending on goverment fat that I get to use is cool.
