You got those quotes right. BUt I'm so far over my own head, I couldn't offer any opinion on them (since I'd never heard of any of the toolkits!)

Ok, so it seems based on everyone's replies, and the #catalyst discussions, that if I'm going to get too far with Catalyst and TT, and accomplish some of what I've got pictured, I'm going to have to move into javascript and ajax.

This is a tad daunting for someone who is very proficient in perl, but still hand-codes HTML in late 1990's style.

Can anyone point me in a good direction for a tutorial of some sort that I can work through to wrap my brain around all of this?

Thanks,
Jeff

    Pity you didn't go to YAPC::NA 2006, as there were a few good talks about ajax with respect to perl integration. For example, these slides might contain enough of a tutorial for you, especially given that it gears toward doing it in perl. Here's another one, with a slightly different topic. And if you're interested in any of the other talks for which slides have been put online, they're right here.

    --chargrill
    s**lil*; $*=join'',sort split q**; s;.*;grr; &&s+(.(.)).+$2$1+; $; = qq-$_-;s,.*,ahc,;$,.=chop for split q,,,reverse;print for($,,$;,$*,$/)
      (chargrill++)++

      Thanks! A quick glance looks like they will get me up off the ground!
