It's not a matter of the time to add the code. It's a matter of maintaining the code. All code has a cost associated with it.

    Ok, well I find this feature useful enough to either never use ack and maintain my own separate ack-alike or maybe just fork ack. My two use-cases are looking inside logs and inside distributions which might contain source code.
