Maybe it's where I live or something, but as far as I can recall I've never seen a man wear sandals outside the context of a play (or movie or whatever) set in antiquity (usually a Bible setting, but sometimes Roman empire or classical Greek stuff). In the modern era, women wear sandals sometimes, particularly when they're dressing up, but normally in combination with hose rather than what I would traditionally call "socks", and men... don't normally wear sandals these last thousand years.

I guess I just don't understand what this poll is about.
