Was it Les (echoing the reporting of the Hindenberg fire) who said "Oh, the humanity of it all!" when he saw the turkeys falling, or is memory playing more tricks on me?
"the funniest moment in TV history"? It's a toss-up between this, and Chuckles the Clown (dressed as Peter Peanut) being shelled to death by an elephant in The Mary Tyler Moore Show. 8-)

    Yes, I recall reading that Richard Sanders, the actor who played Les, spent a day doing nothing but watching the old Hindenberg newsreel. Although I don't think the Hindenberg had turkeys falling to the ground like sacks of wet cement.

    And the Chuckles the Clown episode was fantastic as well. "A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants."

    If those two episodes aren't in the top two of all time, I'd like to know what is.
