Cmeyer has enjoyed programming Perl since 1994. His local Perl group is SPUG, which among the oldest of Perl user groups around (it predates NY.PM), and is also one of the kick-assest.

His other main hobby is mycology, and he is an active member of the Puget Sound Mycological Society.
