I'm a code monkey from way back (I started writing code in 1973 -- yeesh, that's scary). I've done a bit of C/C++ and Perl in my time but I can control it -- a little s‎crip‎ting at parties. I also feel passionately about software design.

I've spent some of my time in defense (automatic target recognition, nuclear this and that) and even more in commercial (GPS, Voice over IP, various tools, and such). I've also done quite a few projects on my own including Palm programming and, my current project, MonkeyHouse, a home automation system in Perl.
