Finally got round to checking this morning---neither Martmite nor Vegemite list sugar in their ingredients, and Marmite has Carbohydrate (of which sugars) of 1.1g/100g to Vegemite's 1.4g/100g.

British or New Zealand variety? I understand they are quite different products and it is certinally the New Zealand variety I am (slightly) familiar with. According to Sanitarium's Marmite nutritional information the New Zealand variety has 11.8 g/100 g sugars and lists sugar as the second item in the ingredients list. Vegemite does me quite well thanks. Had some on toast under hash browns, mushrooms, tomato and an egg this morning in fact. Oh, and Guinness is common on tap around here - had a pint of that last night. Perl is environmentally friendly - it saves trees	[reply]
