British or New Zealand variety? I understand they are quite different products and it is certinally the New Zealand variety I am (slightly) familiar with. According to Sanitarium's Marmite nutritional information the New Zealand variety has 11.8 g/100 g sugars and lists sugar as the second item in the ingredients list.

Vegemite does me quite well thanks. Had some on toast under hash browns, mushrooms, tomato and an egg this morning in fact. Oh, and Guinness is common on tap around here - had a pint of that last night. Perl is environmentally friendly - it saves trees	[reply]

A bit off subject but I loved OxO Crisps when I was very young, now have to make do with Marmite not quite so good as they don't seem to produce them anymore	[reply]
