JoeP has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

What are the correct modules and installtion sequence to get PAR properly installed in an ActiveState distribution of Perl 5.10.0 running on Windows XP Pro. Any assistance much appreciated as this novice walks the path of Perl.

If, as your question title suggest you want to make executables you should be installing PAR::Packer, so ppm install http://www.bribes.org/perl/ppm/PAR-Packer.ppd from the command line should get it for you. I have not used ppm version 4, but the instructions on how to use configure it are here if required.

    Hope this helps

Yes, that was helpful. Looks like the PAR-0.980 and PAR-Packer0.980 are missing some pieces as when I installed the .977 of these modules pp now works. Thanks for the help.
        JoeP,
No, nothing missing. Reading the documentation indicates that PAR::Packer was pulled out of PAR as a design decision.

        Cheers - L~R
