Why not go on playing whith that XP frenzy ?

Any object showing your 'rank' inside the monastery :
  • Saint watch (with the year of 'sainthood' carved in)
  • Pontiff ring (like the 'big university' ring ???(It has always made the french man I am dream))
  • Abbot medallion
  • Friar cap with name ('friar xxxx')
  • ...
You got the idea, each level could have its object.
(As long as the object enable to clearly distinguish another Monk and its level)

I think that the higher your level the higher you'll be willing to pay to get your object.
(I'll do, even if I have not so many figures in my income.
I AM PROUD of being part of the monastery)

I know some objects may be difficult/impossible to customize but I'd really appreciate to have rare high quality item ( when I'll be a saint ;-)
(Hey the monastery members worth it !)

I like this idea! (Of course it has nothing to do with me getting close to friarhood ;))

    $japh->{'Caillte'} = $me;

www.ibutton.com sells all sorts of jewellery, keychains, dogtags, etc with embedded ibuttons. If you got the rings used for unique ID's you could log into PM with your "ring" or "medallion".
I believe I remember stumbling across people who handle custom logos for ibutton-wear. If there is an interest, I will see if I can hunt up the sites again.

if that doesn't put your cereal box decoder ring to shame, I don't know what will:)
Oooh! You could put your Geek Code and Monk Map coordinates into those puppies. Among other things, I'm sure. (Perl DeCSS? ;-)

The only problem is that If I got a Abbot medallion, then when I reached Saint level, I would have to purchase a ring. However, some would view this as a feature rather than a bug with arhuman's idea, seeing as it would generate more revenue for PM.

One way around this is to shell out a ridiculous amount of money for a given item which would have an LED display in the appropriate area of the item that would have a wireless link to PM HQ Inc. and would grab your current XP to display on your object.
