The current tendency at Perlmonks' Chatterbox is to advocate a doctrine that the most fundamental right people have at PMo is to be as stupid and impulsive as they want to, and no choices made by others should ever be allowed to bring harm to that 'freedom'. (for example, a personal /ignore list.)
heh... there's a difference between "being what you are" and "bragging about what you are". I'll stick to George Carlin's Third Commandment at that:
Thou shalt keep thy religion to thyself.
which reads in "PerlMonks CB Context" as
Thou shalt keep thy /ignore-list to thyself.
Why? - because, well, keeping an ignore list certainly helps your sanity. Publicly announcing your ignore list on your home node along with the reasons why you have them on your ignore list is tantamount to harassment and slander.
And I say that before I even begin to think about why you do think it is appropriate to denounce them on your home node: because that isn't of public interest! I'd invest some thoughts into that if I weren't on your /ignore list - and could discuss some points with you beyond this post... well now I can't.
Please think about all that.
