now it gives nothing when I give it an e-mail at the stdin. completely nothing. the program will run, but it looks like it freezes at 1 place.

    Are you aware what <STDIN> does? It waits for input (and reads it). Which, quite unsurprisingly, matches your (bad, vague) error description.

      I give it an input. I know that for shore, the rest does what I want, only the filename of the attachment doesnt. but do you know a right code to let this work?
