Yesss... I suppose that for me (and for maybe many others) Perl and The Camel are associated and that is (partly?) because of the O'Reilly publication(s?) - although we may not consciously acknowledge that.

I am still not comfortable though. London.pm adopted a camel at London Zoo. (citation needed) That's because London.pm love: (a)Perl (b)O'Reilly ..?

This may be in danger of going OT, but...

I think O'Reilly are great. I probably have more of their books on my shelves than any other technical publisher's. But... the way they say that kind of pushes my buttons.

I acknowledge I am not an expert in the history. For me,

(Perl -> Camel) <-O'Reilly, not (O'Reilly->Camel)<-Perl
