The presence of multiple solutions and approaches isn't competition. It is a good and necessary thing.

As much as we might dream of finding “it” and then perfecting it ... the target is constantly changing. Think about it: what's in your pocket? Is it still a world of web-pages? Not really... and for that matter, neither is the web. Only this process has a ghost of a chance (and a track-record ...) of keeping up.
