As others have mentioned, Perl/Tk may not be your best solution. Have you considered Tkx ? IIRC, our friends at ActiveState are pretty actively maintaining/using it. As for books, "Mastering" is the best bet; I once saw "Learning" described as "quite possibly the nadir of O'Reilly books"...and I concur. Perl Contrarian & SQL fanboy
