Since you took no care to be diplomatic or polite, I'll be blunt as well and say straight out that the FAQ is, at least in that respect, badly structured.

When you visit PerlMonks FAQ, search form is right on top. If you type in source code (or source code ) you'll find Can I get the PerlMonks source code?. Badly structured? It doesn't matter.

I have to admit that it was my oversight not to search or Ctrl+F for "source" and instead rely on good old reading. (In my defense, it was rather late in the evening and english isn't my first language.)

However i think that pointing to the existence of such tools as a reason for lack of well-structured documentation is a rather weak excuse. Good documentation is a virtue of any developer, shouldn't PM go ahead with good example in that too?

      1) never concedeed it is weakly structured 2) never proffer search as an excuse 3) it is simple fact of computers, if you don't search, you're reading books :)

Yes, i admit it, i am a passionate reader of books. :D
