in thread Quiz 2 (for newbies only)

Same IP doesn't mean same person. : )
When Bambam posts his 3 questions and I replied, we were on 2 different IP (at work). I'm a newbie myself and Bambam is more newbie than me. The questions that he posts was asked to me first, and I thought he might get better answers than what I provided, especially the question on changing installation location which I didn't answer coz I didn't know

I post the 2 quizes coz I had to work over weekend and was getting bored by the lack of new posts here ( I used Perlmonks to get away from my work which is why you see me around everyday ) , so I just come up with the two quizes. Please note that there is a 6 hours gap when Bambam replied. That was because no one had offer a more detailed answer, so I ask him to post a follow-up.

I disagree that quizzes are bad. Many people hang around here coz they wanted to learn more about Perl, not because they have actual problems. In my stay here, I've learn more from other people's questions than replies to my own problems. Of course, you might think that the quizzes are too simplistic. That's because I'm not an expert myself and I just thought them up while doing work.

Lastly, for people who feels that I'm out to cheat xp, pls feel free to -- all my nodes. I don't mind coz I'm here to learn perl and to share knowledge if possible, not to achieve recognition in this community. And yes, I'll still post quiz/trick questions if anything interesting comes along my pursue in Perl.

sigh...back to work on a Sunday morning
