So I'm sitting here at work, idly monitoring one of our internal chat channels (#perl, no less), and I see a tormented soul... "I want to compare the elements in two arrays to check for any differences?". "Hmmm", I think to myself. "What are you trying to compare?", I venture. "Two unix paths. Any part of them could differ." No longer feeling very confident, I flail around, throwing out a foreach() here, a split() there, all to no avail. Then it hits me. "Why not try PerlMonks.org?". Turns out he's never heard of it. He checks it out, posts and gets a few answers. ................... Later on, I return back to the chat channel, and I see this : - "ooooh, jordan, perl guru Randal Schwartz just replied to your question!" "Nice!" I am therefore pleased to announce that PerlMonks.org now has a very satisfied customer base within a large Investment Bank in London. Yay. p.s I'll mention the Collection Plate to the appropriate people. Azatoth a.k.a Captain Whiplash Make Your Die Messages Full of Wisdom! Get YOUR PerlMonks Stagename here!
